Powerful shared experiences lead to deeper connections.
Radical Optimist collaborates with organizations, companies and groups to create powerful shared experiences at museums and other sites that tell the difficult and often traumatic stories of enslavement, racial terror and lynching, and structural racism. These experiences can be highly vulnerable and our team creates an intentional way for people to prepare for and process the experience. We use these opportunities to help open deeper conversations within organizations as they work to apply new learnings to help increase racial equity and inclusion.
A History Rooted in
Our collective formed to support and guide groups exploring racial healing work through experiences at the Equal Justice Initiative’s Legacy Museum and National Memorial for Peace and Justice in Montgomery, Alabama. Learn more.
We are actively cultivating partnerships with additional museums and on-the-ground partners in several cities across the South. If you know of an organization that would benefit from a partnership with us, please reach out.
Racial Healing Experiences
Due to Covid-19, in-person experiences may not be feasible for everyone. If your group or organization would like for us to help co-create a virtual journey that fits your culture and environment, please contact us.
