Vanessa Jackson talks with Breeshia Wade about her book, “Grieving While Black”

Located in downtown Decatur, GA, Charis Books and More is the South’s oldest independent feminist bookstore. ROC’s Vanessa Jackson serves as a facilitator for the store’s conversations with noted authors. Vanessa recently spoke with Breeshia Wade for a celebration of her book, Grieving While Black: an Antiracist Take on Oppression and Sorrow. It is an exploration of grief from the perspective of a Buddhist Chaplain, end-of-life caregiver, grief coach, and doula who has worked with populations ranging from new parents to people who are incarcerated.
