CAARAC exceeds donation goals with increased awareness

ROC’s Shakita Brooks Jones is the founder and director of the Central Alabama Alliance Resource and Advocacy Center (CAARAC), a nonprofit in Wetumpka, AL that emphasizes HIV prevention, awareness and patient advocacy. Thanks to greater awareness through the “baby registry” program of music star Lil Nas X, dozens of new donors have contributed to the center, leading CAARAC to exceed its annual donor goal by 50%.
